Position: Business Development Assistant
Reports to: Vice President Business Strategy
Skills Required:
Responsibilities:
The administrative assistant provides professional
administrative support to the company VP of Business
Strategy. In
doing so, he or she interfaces with all areas
and levels of the company, as well as with representatives
from partner
companies and clients.
Liaise between the VP and all company staff, as well as
representatives from other Pearson companies and third-party
clients.
Maintain VP's calendar, scheduling appointments and
following up with company personnel to ensure availability
and
timely attendance.
Answer all incoming calls and place outgoing calls for the
department, maintaining clear and accurate phone logs.
Manage department's incoming and outgoing mailboxes.
Prepare memos, letters, and other correspondence.
Assist in composition and revision of presentations,
spreadsheets, and other documents for subsequent review by
department and Corporate Communications Department before
dissemination.
Prepare monthly expense reports.
Set up and facilitate corporate events and off-site and
executive meetings, coordinating with Facilities and
Operations
departments.
Maintain master business contact list for VP.
Coordinate and book all travel arrangements for the
department, including preparation of a thorough itinerary
and
following up on logistics.
Coordinate travel arrangements for executive clients and
guests of the company, as requested.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications:
Minimum two years experience in supporting senior-level
staff. Excellent organizational skills encompassing the
ability to
prioritize tasks and resources and manage an
executive-level schedule.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft
Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel) and in
Microsoft
Outlook or similar calendaring software package.
Professionalism, flexibility, and ability to work
independently and demonstrate initiative.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exacting attention to detail.
Education:
BS or AS in Business or related field.

adhere to project plans. Should be a creative thinker and
work well with end-users and designers. Should be a
self-starter and able to work flexible schedule when needed

Position: Account Executive - Ad Sales
Reports to: Vice President Business Strategy
Skills Required:
Responsibilities:
The Account Executive is responsible for the sale of our
client's sponsorships, banner advertising and textual ads
within
web site and email newsletters.
Build relationships and sign contracts with key decision
makers, such as Senior Executives, within advertising
agencies
and targeted market segments.
Prepares and presents proposals, quotes and recommends
solutions based on customer needs and sales of appropriate
solutions.
Maximize contract renewal opportunities. -Assists customer
and arranges payment terms in accordance with
established
guidelines.

Attends sales
seminars, sales meetings or educational activities to stay
up-to-date on the latest developments, trends,
and
regulations in the market place.
Complete RFPs and proposals, follow up on submissions and
close business
Maintain weekly client traffic reporting.

Requirements:
At least 1 year of Internet ad sales experience is
necessary. Finance experience is a plus. Experience with
contract or renewal sales while exceeding sales quotas is
necessary. Highly developed organizational, planning and
management writing skills and oral communication skills and
the ability to work effectively with others. Must be
detail-oriented and have great follow-up skills.
Education:
BS or AS in Marketing or related field.

Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word is a plus
